YONKERS CONTRACTNG COMPANY, INC., has an opportunity in the Accounting Department for an Administrative Assistant with experience performing similar duties as outlined below.

Essential Duties (include, But Are Not Limited To

• Prepare A/P Transmittals for accounting and corporate expenses
• Prepare checks and associated documents, as required
• Maintain payroll timesheets for accounting, IT, and payroll departments
• Assist CFO with record retention requirements
• Answer and screen department calls
• Participate in front desk rotation for lunch, vacation and unanticipated absences
• Other Duties Include: filing, faxing, scanning, photocopying, distribute incoming and outgoing mail, and other special projects as assigned

Essential Skills And Experience

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages, etc.
• Accurate keyboarding and data entry speed with high accuracy
• Attention to detail, able to organize and prioritize
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
• Ability to work independently and occasionally under pressure during peak periods
• Demonstrate good judgment and maintain confidentiality
• Excellent Telephone Manner
